Course Description
The goal of this conference is to enhance the knowledge and skills of ACRP’s membership in the conduct of clinical trials in order to evaluate a drug, biologic, and/or medical device’s safety and effectiveness in testing, preventing or diagnosing a specific disease or condition. In addition to providing clinical research education and training, this conference acknowledges the dedication and excellence of its membership.
Target Audience
Frontline physician investigators, clinical research coordinators, clinical research associates, monitors, pharmaceutical physicians, corporate level pharmaceutical, biotechnology and medical device research managers, project managers, site managers, data managers, regulatory affairs managers, IRB staff and other professionals involved in clinical research and pharmaceutical medicine will benefit from attending.
Learning Objectives
- Develop strategies and tools for managing the clinical research process such as investigator meetings, site selection, patient recruitment, project management, budgeting at the site and preparation for regulatory inspections
- Define ethical and regulatory considerations involved in the conduct of research involving human subjects
- Identify implications for global clinical research, such as recruitment efforts within special populations, consenting vulnerable populations and regional regulatory and legal issues

Continuing Education Contact Hour / Credit Statements
The Association of Clinical Research Professionals, Inc. (ACRP) is an approved provider of continuing education credits. This conference has been reviewed and approved by ACRP’s Global Conference Planning Committee for continuing education credits for physicians, nurses and ACRP designations.
For all CCRAs, CCRCs, CCTIs and CPIs who passed the certification examination in March 2008 or renewed their certification in April 2008 and need to maintain their certification by April 30, 2010, the contact hours/credits for the 2010 Global Conference & Exhibition may be used provided the online evaluations are completed. You will need to complete the online renewal process by April 30, 2010 to avoid a late fee of $150.
A total of 31.5 hours may be earned at the Global Conference if the maximum sessions and maximum preconference workshops are attended. Without attendance of the pre-conference and/or post-conference workshops, a maximum of 16 hours may be earned. In addition, paid full-conference attendees receive FREE access to the ACRP Online Conference Library containing authorized recorded content from the ’10 and ’09 conferences and the opportunity to earn CEUs from these sessions for only $10/credit for one year.

The Association of Clinical Research Professionals designates this educational activity for a maximum of 31.5 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. Each physician should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

The Association of Clinical Research Professionals (ACRP) provides a maximum of 31.5 continuing education credits for the completion of this educational activity. Only claim those credits that are actually earned. These credits can be used to meet the certification maintenance requirement.
IMPORTANT: All participants wishing to receive Continuing Education Credit hours must register for the conference, stay through an entire session and submit an online evaluation form for each educational activity. There are no paper evaluation forms. Evaluation stations are available for your use on-site throughout the conference, or you may complete evaluations online after you leave the conference. Evaluations must be completed no later than May 14 in order to have hours documented in your ACRP record. Statements of Credit may be used for ACRP certification or licensure renewal. Statements of Credit will be available to print after completion of the evaluation form.
